Making the Right (Microsoft) Choice

As a storage architect, you are expected to be able to make the “right decisions” when it comes time to replace an aging storage area network (SAN). The challenge is that you often can’t find out whether your choice is right or wrong even a year after you have bought the new system. When Acropolis Technology, a managed service provider (MSP) and web hosting company in St. Louis, MO needed to replace their aging NetApp SAN, they purchased their next SAN from a large server/storage OEM.  However, they had to take shortcuts due to the pricing of that solution, and it only let them temporarily “band-aid” their performance issues. Not wanting to do another short-term “fix”, Acropolis turned to Microsoft Storage Spaces and DataON Storage.  Not only did their new system provide 3X-10X better performance, it also provided significantly more capacity. Acropolis liked the DataON solution so much that they later expanded their deployment. Find out how DataON can help you solve your storage and hyper-converged infrastructure issues.
